About Lighthouse Outreach Ministry
Lighthouse Outreach Ministry is dedicated to uplifting life in the community by providing spiritual guidance, support, and resources to those in need. Our purpose is to share light, hope, and love, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose for everyone we serve in Max Meadows, VA, and beyond. Jesus is the light of the world (John 8:12).
Our story
Our journey began after Hurricane Helen when we joined with other ministries to provide Thanksgiving dinners in Swannanoa, North Carolina. Returning in December 2024 to distribute Christmas gifts to children, God revealed our mission: to support children and families here at home, sharing the love of Jesus and the Gospel. Guided by The Word of God and with the Lord's help, Lighthouse Outreach Ministry was born. With each passing day, our ministry grows through God's grace. Distribution of food boxes, clothing, Christmas for children. Most of all prayer and Gods Word!

Our vision is to be a shining light for Wythe County and its surrounding areas. We aim to create a profound impact by addressing the spiritual and physical needs of our community, fostering hope and demonstrating the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. Success for Lighthouse Outreach Ministry means seeing lives transformed, families strengthened, and our community thriving in faith and unity.
A place of belonging
At Lighthouse Outreach Ministry, we strive to create a deep sense of belonging and purpose. Recognizing that many feel forgotten or uncared for, particularly those facing homelessness or financial hardship, we extend a hand of love and support. We are here to let them know they are loved and do all we can to help, offering "The Light in the Storm" because "Jesus is the Light."
